The Equality Alliance (EA) is coordinating demonstrations across the British Isles on the 10th anniversary of Section 28 --Sunday, 24th May-- calling for its repeal.
Demonstrations will be taking place in many town centres in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The EA is coordinating these actions to ensure that the voice of the L/G/B/T community will be heard througout the UK as one united call for the end to this discrimination.
By demonstrating in every town centre possible we will begin to educate those members of the public who are not aware of the active discrimination that this Government still endorses against its own citizens.
"As one combined voice we will be heard -- but we all have to shout" said Ian Farmer. "So we are continuing to urge organisations and individuals to make their voice heard by joining the Equality Alliance."
If you are already planning a demonstration or would like to take part in one, then contact Cath Fletcher, the EA Action Coordinator on 07050-611903 to find out what is happening in your area.
On Monday 25th YouthSpeak
Stonewall (0171-336 8860) are organising a Size Does Matter campaign, to ensure that all MP's are lobbied by their constituents.
